About us
The University of Wyoming Family Medicine Clinic (UWFM) provides comprehensive medical care for all ages including obstetrics and gynecology. We accept most insurance plans and offer a sliding fee scale for patients who qualify based on income.
Our practice provides equal access to all of our patients regardless of ability to pay. We proudly accept Medicare and Medicaid, and as a Federally Qualified Health Center, we offer a sliding fee scale as well as discounted pharmaceutical services.
UWFM delivers up-to-date team based medical care through our physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and case managers.
Our clinic works in partnership with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and many of the specialty providers in Cheyenne to provide a three year intensive training experience for physicians that have graduated medical school and have chosen family medicine as their career. This training is required to prepare our physicians for their national board certification examination. Our graduating resident physicians practice throughout Wyoming and across the country.

Family Medicine Residency
The Drexel University College of Medicine/Tower Health Family Medicine Residency program was established after the closure of Hahnemann University Hospital in 2019. The program has moved in its entirety and is now functioning within the hospital network of Tower Health. We continue the program's legacy, well-known for academics, teaching and clinical excellence as part of Drexel University College of Medicine. The Family Medicine Residency program's duration is three years, with seven residents per year. Starting during the first year, our residents assume progressive responsibility for patient care as they advance through training. Our graduates pursue careers in primary care at private and academic institutions as well as through fellowships in sports, geriatrics, palliative care and sleep medicine, to name a few.

Residents gain experience in multiple care settings throughout the urban Philadelphia area, providing them an opportunity to care for patients from diverse populations. Our residents rotate on our family medicine inpatient service at Chestnut Hill Hospital and rotate as peers at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, which combined offers excellent, unique, well-rounded and comprehensive education and training.
Our residents provide care at two outpatient office sites, which have received NCQA recognition as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes. Our primary office site is in vibrant Manayunk, where residents will build their panel of continuity patients under the supervision of Drexel's family medicine faculty. Our residents also attend at primary care sites in Wyncote, as well as in our Student Health office located on Drexel University's main campus.
Residency program faculty are faculty of the College of Medicine . They have a wide range of professional interests and expertise including medical informatics, medical humanities, care of the underserved, geriatrics, palliative care, adolescent, women's health and sports medicine. The Family Medicine Residency endeavors to promote critical thinking and self-learning skills through a variety of clinical rotations, research opportunities and a structured conference schedule. We value education and scholarship and we emphasize evidence-based medicine at the point-of-care. Our mission is to develop well-rounded physicians who have identified their passions and are ready to work in any setting they choose.
Our residency program has an impactful and long-standing presence in the greater Philadelphia community. Our mission is to serve local underserved communities. Our residents participate in community outreach, health screenings, clinics and programs that serve health-disparate, marginalized and at-risk populations. Our residents are also active and hold positions in local, regional and national organizations where they promote health advocacy, influence health policy and effect transformation in urban family medicine.
We look forward to helping you become the best family physician you can be!
Please note that residents and fellows are employed by and insured by the hospital; they are not employees of Drexel University.

A mother and three children have escaped a tumble dryer fire which devastated their first floor flat.
Fire crews found flames coming out of the kitchen window of the property in Blackbird Leys, Oxford, shortly before midday on Friday.

The page, in the name of a family friend, has so far raised more than £800.
Three fire engines spent more than three hours tackling the blaze and clearing smoke.
Incident commander Shaun Lewis said: "The resident's quick evacuation was excellent.
"[I] would like to remind everyone to test their smoke alarms once a week, ensuring they work and that closing doors can confine a fire and stop smoke damage."
